Telecom expense management (TEM) is
an all encompassing term that refers to the overall monitoring and handling of
wireless, voice, and data assets for the enterprise client. In plain language,
the TEM provider gathers all of the client's telecom bills and looks for
overcharges through a telecom audit, searches for contract violations, finds
ways for the client company to save, and negotiates for savings directly with
the vendor on behalf of the client.
Some TEM providers provide bits and
pieces, or an a la carte style offering while others, like Valicom, offer full lifecycle management. Services often
included in TEM include: telecom auditing, TEM software access, invoice
processing and invoice payment, asset management, cost allocation, CSR
analysis, test calls, network optimization, contract compliance, tariff review,
implementation, contract negotiation, RFP, and order fulfillment. Valicom
offers all of these services, and many other by working with partner
organizations to offer a comprehensive, one-stop-shop for our clients telecom
